week end

my week was a flyby.

ive gotten used to the whole overwhelming effect of increasing numbers of funds to deal with in a day.

my priorities been set to shuffle mode. you can never expect to be dealing with the same thing tomorrow. which, makes it somewhat exciting for me.

the first friday in a long time that i felt somewhat enthusiastic about work. we had training with the super guru himself, and todays topic was on death binding nomination.

what i like about this industry is that it sets things straight. upfront.

we are all gonna die at some point. and we should all be thinking of who is going to get these benefits we've set aside for ourselves. who deserves them. who gets to arrange them in the event of our death.

its been almost a year now, and while my time spent has been a lot about swimming around aimlessly, beating the bushes to have a clearer view of whats ahead - things are finally starting to look promising.

my reliance on irns coffee supply every morning is crazy. she bought this huge bottle of coffee beans, which she offered the team to share ( it is, far more tastier than the one we have in the pantry ) , i walk into the office every morning, switch on my computer, place my bag in the drawer, and walk straight to her desk to grab the bottle. i have mine with milk and a quarter tea spoon of sugar - perfect morning fix, and i'm good to go.

the addiction gets stronger by the day - i find myself thinking about her coffee the minute i step into the bus on the way to work, and get pretty excited about it too.

did i mention that its close to a year now ?

john text me to see if i was keen to have another go this weekend. im thinking of making it on a regular basis. twice a month, or probably more frequent. i will need ahem, want, to invest in a pair of jodhpur, boots and perhaps chaps to start with.

stoked
