rumor has it, that when you let them in, you'll drown in. rarely, has anyone made it out on their own, there were a few special cases, but not always.
and when you crumpled the paper and threw them away, you thought that was good enough to make it go away. you thought that they would never come back to try and persuade you again and again.
and you thought wrong.
sometimes, theres only so much one can do. fighting this back just means drawing them closer. ignorance sometimes leads to being in denial. and we all know how denial rocks and spins everything else around.
i am, aware of you. i am, not ignoring you. and i am, happy that you decide to stick around.
but thats only because i believe, one day, you'll get tired of sticking with me. because you will then realize how i'm placing the present in front of me. and you will see how my happiness is built around all the current. with probably little help from the past.
this is for you, friend. someone's at least got to let you do your job. to be reminded, to be cautious, but thats all i'm letting you do. not take control, not blocking me from my dream come true.
