weekend shenanigans;

it was our first weekend to ourselves, just us 4. I was excited. I knew we could start back our whole routine together. we'd either have brekkie outside, or spend the weekend enjoying nature. I'm glad we got to do both.

we found a favourite spot to have breakfast just about 5 minutes drive from our place which is amazing. favourite because their beans are from Fonzie abott. my new found love. I love how strong yet bearable the blend is. such a great way to kick start my day. I had them since we moved here to Brisbane, however, am now drinking decaf due to breastfeeding. even so, the coffee still tastes good.

Saturday morning was spent at the river bank. we did almost a whole loop together. testing our new pram out. we got a double seat jogger this tme. I couldn't be bothered to get a branded one, just one that was practical, lightweight enough for jogging and that could fit our car boot. so far it has served us fantastically. so glad we bought it, making our jogs easier. I can't even remember what brand Azhar got us. but if any of you are interested, drop me a comment, and ill look further into it. haha

Sunday was back to nature. We did a short trail walk with the boys. Hamza was up and excited for the walk. Umar was comfortably sleeping still. He continued sleeping throughout our walk, such an easy baby to care for alhamdulillah.

Hamza insisted on walking by himself. We actually took the pram with us trail walking hahaha. Hence why we can't get those fancy prams. Our prams must fit the rough lifestyle we do on days like this, and again, I must say, it passed the test. However, Azhar thinks we need to change its tyres to better suite the off trail paths.

we then spent a few hours just hanging with Huda and her tribe at their place. Hamza was exhausted after everything. when we left their place, it took him less than 2 minutes to sleep in the car seat.

I must say it has been the most fulfilling weekend I've had so far ever since Umar came into our lives, alhamdulilah for the opportunity to do this with the family :)
