eid mubarak

/ Saturday, August 25, 2012 /

home, for eid this year. it certainly gave eid a lot more meaning compared to years where i had to celebrate them abroad, alone, with friends that turned into family. this year was the real deal itself, and quite luckily, for the first time, in a very long time, we got to spend our morning together, just the 5 of us.

remembering a written literature i learnt in high school, about a man who travelled overseas, beyond the norm of his mates back in the village, he came home to find things different, not quite what he once understood it to be. he learned the change came from within, his views, his reactions towards what once were, were no longer the same reactions due to exposure of the outside world he was blessed with. and from that he concluded that experiences makes us change. you could choose to become a snob, or remain humble towards what has been granted.

i have this great push inside me wanting to give back to my country, on everything that i have learned. so much power, so much enthusiasm. but that all has to wait, my skills needs to be sharpened, needs to be practiced and perhaps one day Malaysia, ill be ready for you.

lets keep things simple guys. lets keep the positivity flowing. stay true to our hearts and intentions, pray harder and keep calm.

we certainly have nothing to worry or fret about when we know Allah is watching over us. lets also not forget to pray for our fellow muslim brothers and sisters around the world that aren't as lucky as we are. May Allah protect and bless them with barakah in life and hereafter.

Amin InshaAllah
