and so it is almost at the end, of my first year in south australia. a collection of experience, great memories and friendships created, a series of events that came together to form itself magnificently, all kept now, in my book of life. a new chapter started, new characters, new plots, new agendas here and there. worth all the wait. worth all the hard work of getting here, living the dreams is just surreal. and i'm glad and blessed for this journey.
above is a picture of fit and i, during UMNO club's raya open house. the night before, all of us, the committee members ( in collaboration with MASCA SA ) cooked our hearts out to cater 500 Malaysians in Adelaide. It was fun, it was tiring, i fell sick with the moody Adelaide weather and non-stop back to back work load of Malaysian Carnival and uni ( a big event before this open house ). It was an experience that i would cherish all my life.
this year i took a leap. a big, giant leap. i stepped away from my comfort zone to be in a place that was foreign, with less-cling onto the support system, more on to becoming a grown up. something that i detest so much, but know so well how inevitable that is. i never thought i'd come this far. i learned to love this foreign country, til it became so much of me, that highways, bus rides, new habits, new responsibilities all became a familiarity. a new cycle, a new routine to live through.
this year is coming to an end, and im not quite sure how it will exactly end, but its been good so far. and i look forward to a great summer back home in Malaysia, with great food, with real love, with high traffic and lots of mat rempits. eheh
