My Uncle Bob and Aunt Jenn invited me for a boat ride with them for the weekend. It was amazing. I had the most relaxed, laid back time I could have ever imagined since I came here. We went along Murray River and saw beautiful houses, other house boats, people ski-ing, jet-ski-ing, the weather was just perfect.

After having lunch on the boat, Uncle Bob told me to take over. Which, I think he must have regretted for a while, since the minute I took over, the boat went in circles. Round and round and poor people, they were dizzy for a while. But after carefully taught by Uncle Bob, I got the hang of it ;)

The day ended at Thomas's parents holiday house located at The Island. It was beautiful. The scenery, the atmosphere, the whole place was just beyond amazing. I was so excited with everything that I felt like it wasn't real. We had tea with them, which they served chicken satays and beef with potato salad and salads and red whine. Ahem. Of course I didn't have the red whine. Duh

The water front view from Thomas's parents house. Beautiful. I was told most of them bought the houses here just for their weekends or holiday getaways. They buy small units at the city, to get bigger holiday houses and boats. Living the life, you know ? This is the place where they retreat after a busy week, away from the city, just the nice, quiet, peaceful country life. Very casual.
Just two minutes away from where they live, Tom drove me to Goolwa Beach. It was insanely pretty. I am already out of words. Pretty beautiful amazing awesome, everything !

But of course, how could you forget? Thomas and Kate's gorgeous young boy. My niece. Mackenzie. Remember his name,
MacKenzie.
He's just too gorgeous. Too adorable.
