You think we've met ?

"People always say that, when you love someone, nothing in the world matters. But that's not true, is it? You know, and I know, that when you love someone, everything in the world matters a little bit more"
- Jodi Picoult -

The familiarity of it all suddenly kicks in once again.
Oh how lovely the colours, finally start to blend,
I wish I could recall how things began,
I wish this story will find no end.

They think they know but they fail to see,
What you and I have come to be.

I appreciate reading and writing simply because its the simplest form of escapism I can ever let myself fall into. It doesn't involve movements, all it takes is just a little imagination.

beautiful prose, zyra!

heyyy, which book is that quote from? hehe, i simply love jodi picoult's books. someone special gave me the latest book before I balik for the summer, handle with care, and i nak bawak that book balik and keep it with me.

i last read Change of Heart, and it was about the death penalty. It just seems soo appropriate for me right now, what with working for a human rights organization. It taught me a lot on the technicalities of it, the emotional attachments that come with death penalty cases, and certainly gave me a perspective on things.

That's what I love most about Jodi Picoult's books. They are not only beautiful stories that warm your heart at the end of day; they also give you plenty to ponder, and knowledge to digest.

p/s: Bila nak meet up lagi? Ika pun nak meet up!

She's inspiring. I love her writings. I read 3 already. My sister's keeper, Nineteen minutes, and the latest one was Picture Perfect.

Picture Perfect was awesome. Basically on how a perfect marriage gone wrong kind of story. How the husband took the presence of the wife for granted and she decides to 'disappear' after years of tolerating with his abusive acts towards her. And then the story goes on.

Jodi writes very well on humanity, hands down. She grasps my inner feelings and twists them with her words, which just catches me deep every single time I read them. Just look at the quote, ha ha. So simple and direct. I wish I knew which book it came from, I picked it up from tumblr.com :)

Beep me anytime, I'm only a call away, and I still am craving for delicious cakes, decanter was not so bad the other day eh?

anon : Aduhh, nak cik Salmah jugak ke? Nanti saya notify dia yeah ? :)
